client craftsman PhoyographyAt the core of every project lies the discovery of the deeper story. This story forms the glue between the design and realization, just like the screenplay for a movie. It can be the way you spends your day or the things that bring joy. In this case the client cherished the most amazing collection of art that we gladly took as inspiration for the design of their home. By using storytelling as part of our creative process, we want to ensure that our creative vision is layered and connects to the lives we are designing for.
Transforming this split level row house into a personal art oasis serves as the perfect example that we shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Or even better, the story of a book is not only defined by its cover. The uniform appearance of this house would not give away the unique and personal space that await you.
With heaps of light, its open plan living area and cozy garden room, this art filled house tells many stories that are important to the client. It is a house that draws you in and keeps surprising. We chose a neutral colour base as a perfect balance against the bolder colour scheme and subtle use of different finishes.
As a true eye-catcher of the house we curated some amazing photography and other objects from our clients collection to be showcased on the large two story wall. Creating an beautiful connection between the living areas and immediately transforming the house into their home. With the garden and final touches still too be done we are almost ready to show the full details of this project. One that really shows off our wish to make spaces inventive, inviting and intimate.
